We are located at 3 Fourth Avenue, Onetangi, just steps from beautiful Onetangi Beach on Waiheke Island. Cafés, vineyards, restaurants, bus stops, and walking tracks are all within easy reach.
Most guests travel by Fullers360 passenger ferry from downtown Auckland, or the Island Direct passenger ferry. Both arrive at Matiatia Wharf or Kennedy Point, a short drive from Onetangi.
If you’re bringing a car over, book on the SeaLink car ferry from Half Moon Bay or the CBD.
You can also book a flight over, on Waiheke Wings.
There is a great local bus service, timed to meet the ferries. Catch the 50A or the 50B Onetangi bus. Get off in Fourth Avenue, right outside Onetangi Beach Apartments.
A local taxi will cost about $55 from Matiatia, for 1-4 people.
Yes. Guests are welcome to use our shared BBQ area, perfect for relaxed evenings after the beach.
Each of the Superior Strand apartments have their own barbeques, on the back balcony.
All apartments are strictly non smoking inside.
There is no smoking inside or outside the Courtyard Apartments. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas in the car park.
Smoking is permitted on the balconies of the Ocean View apartments, and the Superior Strand apartments.
Many of our apartments offer partial or full sea views. View availability depends on the room type selected at booking. Our Ocean View One Bedroom, Ocean View Two Bedroom and Superior Strand Apartments have great sea views.
We service on days 3 and 5 of your stay. On other days, just pop into reception if you’d like clean towels or to pick up extra tea bags etc.
Stays of more than 7 nights receive a full clean and linen change halfway through your stay.
Yes. All apartments include hotel quality linen, bath towels, and basic amenities. Beach towels are available from reception.
Yes. The bus stop is right next to the property, with regular services to Oneroa, the ferry terminal, and other parts of the island.
We recommend bringing:
- Sunscreen and hats
- Groceries (especially during peak season)
- Comfortable walking shoes
Yes. We can store luggage before check in or after check out, during office hours.
Yes, every room has a hairdryer, an iron and an ironing board.
Yes. We can provide porta cots for a one-off $25 rental fee.

Onetangi has several fantastic beachfront dining options within a 2–5 minute walk, including Charlie Farley’s, Three Seven Two, and Ki Maha. A Four Square grocery store is located 10 minutes walk away. The supermarket is located in Ostend, a short drive away.
